Adult Heartsaver CPR, AED & First Aid

Description:   <p> <b><font color="red">ATLANTICARE EMPLOYEES</font ></b>

<p>The Heartsaver CPR with AED course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and use of an AED. Students also learn about using barrier devices for ventilation purposes and how to administer interventions for the choking adult victim. The program also provides information about how to recognize the signs of 4 major health emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest, and foreign-body airway obstruction. </p>

<p> The second portion of the class includes Heartsaver First Aid which teaches basic level first aid procedures on how to manage a person suffering from an acute injury or sudden illness.</p>

<p> <b>AtlantiCare employees </b> are entitled to a discount please call to register. Do not register online.</p>

<p><b>Course Preparation: </b>Text book and pocket face mask are included in the cost of the class.</p>

<p><b>Course Materials: </b>Are available at the Life Support Training Center</p>

Non-ARMC employees- Please call Life Support Training Center at (609) 641-5856 to make arrangements for your book. Non- Atlanticare participants who are not able to reschedule to another course are refunded their registration fee less an administration fee of $25.00 for basic courses (BLS and HS) and $50.00 for advanced courses (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS and AMLS).

If you are unable to attend a class in which you have enrolled, please call the Access Center at 1(888)569-1000 with least 7days advance notice. No refunds will be issued for classes that are not properly cancelled.

<BR><b><p><i>No Show No Refund.</i></p>
ARMC employees who fail to show for a class in which they are enrolled will be charged the class fee upon their 2nd enrollment. Registered ARMC employees who call in sick should have his or her supervisor email joanne.ferebee@atlanticare.org. *Note if you have any physical limitations or special needs contact us in advance of the class so that accommodations can be made.

If you do not receive your card within 30 days of your course, please contact the training center to obtain a duplicate card. However, we cannot honor requests for free replacement cards past the 30 days. The replacement fee for lost cards is $15.00. <BR>

As an AtlantiCare employee it is up to you to know the AHA CPR Certification required for your job. The specific certification required for your job is listed on your role description. Please check your role description and know that information prior to calling the Access Center to schedule a live class or prior to submitting your online request form so you can be sure you are enrolling in the correct certification course.
