Physician Bio: Marianne Frieri, M.D., Ph.D,. Chief of Allergy Immunology, Department of Medicine, Attending in Pediatrics; Medicine NSLIJHCS is a Professor of Medicine & Pathology, State University of NY at Stony Brook. Dr. Frieri received a Ph.D in Microbiology-Immunology in 1976 from Chicago Medical School, an M.D from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in 1978,completed post-graduate residency training in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago,.Ill in 1980 and a fellowship in Allergy Immunology in the NIAID/NIH in 1983.Dr. Frieri is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Allergy Immunology and Diagnostic Laboratory Immunology. She served on the ACAAI Board of Regents from 1994 until 1997, JCAAI Board of Directors from 2001 until 2005, ACGME RRC, for Allergy Immunology, 2006-2010, received the Women in Allergy Award in 2002 from the AAAAI in 2003, Distinguished Fellow Award in 2006, and Distinguished Service Award in 2008 from the ACAAI. Dr. Frieri is past president of the Long Island Allergy and Asthma Society (LIASS), 1995-97 and currently serves on the Board of Directors and CME committee for the LIASS and is current president of the AACA Dr. Frieri received the DOH Empire State Clinical Research Investigator Program (ECRIP) GME grant awards @ NUMC in 2011-2013 and has over 180 presentations at National meetings, over 100 peer review publications and several book chapters. |
