Thomas Pobre, M.D., Director of Outpatient Services of the Department Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines in 1981. Dr. Pobre is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is Associate Professor of Clinical Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at SUNY Stony Brook, Adjunct Associate Professor of Clinical Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Pobre has special interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, spasticity management and electrodiagnosis. Dr. Pobre co-authored The Oxford Handbook of PM&R (2010), and has written book chapters in various PM&R books. He is a mentor for the medical students at SUNY Stony Brook, AUC and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
