Dr. Kaleem Rizvon is a graduate of the Madras Medical College, one of the top 5 Medical Schools in India. He completed his residency training and fellowship in Gastroenterology in Nassau University Medical Center including a year as Chief Resident.
Dr Rizvon has spent his entire career in Academic Medicine with numerous teaching responsibilities as Site Director and Clerkship Director of medical student rotations and Associate Director of the Internal Medicine residency program. He has won multiple academic awards including the Sibthrope Prize in Medical School, Fellow of the Year and multiple Teacher of the Year awards. He has been selected as Top Physician in Gastroenterology by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
Dr Rizvon’s research interests include Perioperative Medicine, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Gastrontestinal infections. He has authored numerous publications including book chapters and has been interviewed in the local and national media. Dr Rizvon is a member of American Medical Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Fellow the American College of Physicians and American College of Gastroenterology
