Tabassum Yasmin, MD is an attending physician in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Nassau University Medical Center. She has received her medical degree from Patna Medical College, India (formerly Prince of Wales Medical College) with honors in Ophthalmology, Forensic Medicine and Preventive Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency training from Nassau University Medical Center and did her Fellowship in Infectious Diseases from Stony Brook University Hospital at Stony Brook.
Dr. Yasmin has authored multiple abstracts, article. She also contributed a chapter in a book titled “Critical Care”. Dr. Yasmin has been Clinical Research Director for Infectious Diseases program and a “Principal Investigator” on various trials for HIV. She had been the Director of HIV Clinical Scholars Fellowship program in the past. Her major interest lies in the new emerging therapies for HIV, Hepatitis C co-infected population.
