Paul J. Mustacchia MD, is Vice Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Nassau University Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Buffalo; and, he completed an internship, residency, and fellowships at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, New York.
Dr. Mustacchia’s clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic liver disease. He is also developing his interests as an interventional gastroenterologist. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts.
Dr. Mustacchia has been recognized as a fine teacher by his peers and his trainees, and in addition to serving as the Program Director for the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship, he is a member of the Residency Leadership Committee -which oversees the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Mustacchia is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and is currently serving as the President of the Medical Staff.
