Javed Iqbal, MD, is a Pulmonary and Critical care attending and Director of Medical Intensive Care at Nassau University Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, India and completed an internship, residency, and fellowships at Harlem Hospital Center/Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Iqbal has board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Neurocritical Care Medicine. Dr. Iqbal also has Master’s in Public health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He has written numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, abstracts, and book chapters.
Dr. Iqbal has received several awards and was also Teacher of the Year two years in a row at Nassau University Medical Center.
Dr. Iqbal is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American College of Physicians, and the American College of Critical Care Medicine.
