Physician Bio: Mark Fonrose, M.D.
Board Certified Emergency Medicine
Dr. Mark Fonrose has been practicing fulltime in the specialty since 1993. He has completed residences in both Internal Medicine at SUNY Downstate/Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and Emergency Medicine at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in The Bronx, New York. He has experience in a variety of emergency department settings, and currently is a fulltime attending in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York.
Dr. Fonrose was born and raised on Long Island. Interestingly, he was born in Meadowbrook Hospital, which today is known as Nassau University Medical Center. His father, Harold A. Fonrose M.D., completed residency in internal medicine at Meadowbrook Hospital in 1962. He went on to become the Medical Director of A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Center from 1971 to 1986. Dr. Mark Fonrose has interests outside of medicine that include travel, art, movies and the gyrations in the stock market.
